I loaned money to my friend and they refuse to pay me back I loaned my friend $600 nine months ago to help them keep their small business going. I have since learned that they blew this chunk of money on gambling and various things that were simply not related to the business. I feel like an idiot because I should have seen their immaturity and the warning signs; however, I would very much like to be paid back. When I loaned them the money, it was with the agreement that I would get the full $600 back within six months. Six months are up and they are telling me that I should wait longer. I suggested they pay me weekly until the loan is paid back but they refuse to agree to that.
What should I do now?

Count it as a hard lesson learned and mark that friend down as a user. Also, if you have mutual friends, tell them what happened so that your now ex friend can't get any more loans. ]
take their ass to court thats messed up that they just took your money. ]
unfortuenatly if you didnt have a signed agrrement i dont think there is much you can do. you can check into taking them into small claim court... it cant hurt looking into it. ]
legally, you cant do anything, unless you have a written agreement. otherwise...i guess you have to learn from your mistake, and just wait. If not, consult a lawyer. hope you get it sorted! :) ]
