Tampons hurt SO bad?

Question Posted Tuesday October 13 2009, 7:48 pm

I know it isn't really sex but I didn't know what else to put it under.
OKay this is mad embarrasing but i figured I'd ask here. I'm 17 years old and I still can't get a friggen tampon to "work". I try to use em but they hurt so friggen bad. I tried the little OB mini ones which kinda work but I'm always afraid i'll bleed through them. It's really embarrassing ... any advice anyone?

Well, as a guy I wouldn't know what that would feel like, but if they continue to hurt then you could always use a pad.

which ones have you tried putting in? i hope your not using the cardboard ones! the first time i tried putting one in was when i was in Hawaii because i got my period.. ohhhhgod it was horrible. my mom bought the carboard applicator at the store and i couldn't get the dang thing in for the life of me. then my mom bought me the tampax pearl's.. the regular no super or super plus and it went right in. you have to relax. if your all worked up your basically pushing the tampon out, making it impossible to put in. if you have any more questions; inbox! ♥LU

This is such a wonderful question...I am 38 and cant wear a tampon.

I asked my doctor why and he stated that I have endometreosis and the lining of my vagina is thick so I cant fit a tampon inside me.

It is too painful and I cant even sit when I put it in. Not even the small ones are comfortable. All woman are built differently and at the same time there may be a reason that you are having so much discomfort.

You should possibly see a doctor to find out if youre okay and if you are its just that you cant use tampons.

I never bleed enough to use them either. If you are too dry that may be another reason that they hurt too much. I use panty liners because I only come down when I use the tinkle.

Good luck and I wouldnt worry so much about it. Use the small OB mini ones and just make sure you change them frequently if you are heavy.

Good luck
