My friend has this weird obsession with a teacher, normal or wrong?

Question Posted Wednesday October 7 2009, 1:00 am

Recently, my friend has been talking about how "hot" he thinks his teacher his. He keeps saying he fantasizes about her and he worships her. He said he likes walking past her room, he said he wants to buy the yearbook and school newsaper just to oogle and "jerk off" (masturbate) at any pictures of her in them. Worst of all, he said he wishes she was a pedophile and if she wanted to molest him he'd be all for it. Its kind of funny but its also kind of creepy to me. II always thought a teacher is someone you respect, not look at in that way. Is this normal

I am a 18 year old male. I am a senior in High School and can honestly say that I haven't fancied a teacher. When I was a Freshman, I had this choir teacher that was really hot, but I never fantacised about her.
In my opinion, it depends on the maturity level of the kid whether or not he fantacises about a teacher. If I were you, I would just lay out some ground rules. If he don't respect you enough to quit talking about (atleast around you) then obviously he likes the teacher more than you. I would break up with him if he can't quit. Any other advice just message me.

I'm a girl and i have never really understood how a person could 'fancy' a teacher - like you said they are someone you respect. But then i know it can happen. We're all just people. He could purely have feelings for her because of her body. He is afterall a teenage boy.

I wouldnt worry about him - just if it bothers you ask him to shut it about her ;)

xx

First of all, boys like any girls who is "HOT" no matter who it is. Like a mom or even a teacher. but it is normal for them because all they think about is girls.

I don't know what grade you guys are in, but since 8th grade and throughout high school [im a junior in high school] I know that boys talk similar to the way your friend is talking about an adult/teacher. Boys are very hormonal, don't get me wrong, so are girls, but boys tend to be more open about their fantasies. If he sees it doesn't bother you and it isn't making you uncomfortable, he's going to keep saying things like this. It's not necessarily weird unless it gets out of hand and he starts to become obsessive, for example .. if it starts effecting his life and if he acts on his fantasies/impulses. then there will be a problem. But as of now, it's harmless thoughts of a VERYY hormonal boy. Just be like, "are you joking.. thats kind of sick." and see what he says. If you think this could potentially be/is a serious problem, talk to him about it first and then tell your parents or an adult about it.
good luck ! hope i helped, and if you need anything else, feel free to inbox me ! :] xxo.

well, i can't be sure, but i've read of something called a rape fantasy, which is harmless, and very common. so if he is serious, then thats the obvious answer. about the appropiateness of it, thenit's totally normal for people to have crushes, regardless of it being a teacher or not. its only weird, he he tries to act on it, because he should have enough common sense to realise it is wrong. yea, a teacher is someoneyou respect, but think of it as an ordinary crush. it ill pass. you should realise that being around someone in close quarters is bound to make them seem more appealing. plus he's a guy, and they think that talking about women in that objectifying kinda way, makes them seem cool and mature. just laugh and ignore it, but he he does something, then tell the teacher hat you think, privateley, because your teacher hasn't done anything rong, and you don't wanna ruin her reputation around the school, because you your friend.

i dont rele know to be honest? maybe he's just fooling around at some times to make you laugh, after all..you do find it funny. Its normal for someone to have a crush on their teacher and stuff. Next time he says it, you could just say "dude! seriousely!?" his reaction will probabaly let you know. maybe you should talk to him about it? not the whole "we need to talk. recently, i have noticed that ....." because that would be wierd. something like "dude, what the hell? she's a teacher? calm down" which would be less awkward and less formal. Maybe he's sexually frustraded also..sounds like it.
