Volunteer Hours

I want to be a social worker when i grow up. I would like to volunteer at an Abuse Child Care center but it has to be in Colorado.

If you can help me, i would be very appreiciative!

you are just like me. I waas to be a social worker but there is no college near me i may try and take the classes online. any who.. finding a shelter.. you can go to a counsler or look in the phone book for social workers. also going to your job and famly services or career center they could help you find a social worker. meet up with on and get their intake on the job. my cousin used to work as a social worker.. when you go to a home to take a child out of the home that is dangerous to them you usally go with two police officers. it can get dangerous. but remember you are doing it for the child you have to keep your emotions inside you. and be the best person you can be for that child. my cousin wasnt able to handle it but that doesnt mean you cant. a social worker can help you find a shelter for woman. and you can help the woman that come in with there children. something like that.
