5 weeks to lose 20 pounds? That is not a good idea. I used to teach weight management classes. It is not healthy to lose so much so fast. You will most likely make yourself sick.
Now, with the right diet and exercise, you can lose around 5 pounds the first week, then your body will level out a bit. At that point, 2 pounds a week is healthy. So, done right, you can lose around 13 pounds in the time you have.
I highly recommend Curves. That is the place where I saw a lot of women lose at the rate I just described. If you follow their diet and exercise plan, it really does work. My first time with the six week diet plan, I lost 18 pounds. Second time around, when I started teaching it, I lost 12 because my body was used to the program. Still, pretty good loss over that amount of time, and the people at Curves are incredibly supportive and helpful.
Now, that is my experience. I'm sure other similar places will work just as well. Just be sure to be consistent in what you do, eat healthy and keep active, and you will not only lose weight but keep it off.

K well first of all you cant lose weight fast it takes time and in a month you could probably lose 20pounds or maybe less depending on how well you do so for diet take out all carbs and sugars out of you diet drink a lot of water and eat a lot of fruits and if you decide to have a salad no dressing next go jogging early in the morning if you can or at some point in the day keep yourself occupied throughout the day so you arent sitting for too long because you could be doing more active things to help lose a few more pounds and also keeping busy will help you be less tempted to eat fatty foods this will help you lose weight trust me ive done it but of course its taken me longer then a month to lose my weight but im sure you could lose atleast 10-15 pounds for sure by the time you want if not 20 good luck :)
