I am a 17th year old female and I want to ask my dad for Birth control.
He has told me before that if I want it, don't hesitate to ask but when the time comes its going to be awkward and weird. So when should I bring it up and what should I say.
My dad is very understanding about everything, I just will feel awkward.
Thank you.
Just sit down with him and tell him you think it's time you went on B.C. Don't feel awkward about it, he's your dad and he loves you. He's going to support you, and he sounds like an awesome father :)

I just want to make sure I'm being safe and would feel much better if I got on. Can you make me an appointment? [ lhlovex33's advice column | Ask lhlovex33 A Question ]

Next time you see him, just be doing something like, doing the dishes or something, and just casually say, "Dad, I think its time I start using birth Control. When can we get that done?"
by asking a question at the end, he will give you an answer instead of saying "really?" or "what?"
his answer will be something like "i can take you to go get some this weekend"
