Something tells me this isn't the only thing your brother does to get on your nerves. I am 18 and my brother is getting ready to turn 13. We fight terribly. He annoys me to know end, but my parents and grand parents think he is just the best thing in the world. It truly sucks.

Though I still tend to blow up at him when he does dumb or annoying things, I have been trying my hardest just to ignore him. It works best that way. Maybe you should give it a try too. We are at an ackward age difference with our siblings, which makes fighting terrible. Like everyone else said, put a lock on your phone, keep it with you at all times, and pretend like it doesn't bother you when he does things like that. Eventually he will stop.

I think he just wants attention from you.

If you can put a lock on your phone then I suggest you can do that. Make sure you always lock it though, it might be annoying having to lock it all the time at first - but you will get used to it :)

He's eleven. There is only one way to make it stop: Make it boring.

The only thing an eleven year old boy is going to stop doing, is something that isn't fun.

Many phones can be locked with a code. Find out if your phone has one, and lock it EVERYTIME. After a few weeks, he'll stop bothering to check.

Delete all your texts.
I know, you are going to whine at that one, but it's still the perfect solution to your problem.

You could try to keep your phone on you at all times, or hide it, but really that is just making the game even more fun for him. Whatever you do, the end result must be 0 Fun for your little brother. Nothing less then that will solve this problem.
