help me believe
Hey im 18/f and i've it occured to me today that i really dont believe in heaven or god/jesus. It just seems unreal you know. Somebody today told me you could just replace the word "angel" with "aliens" and people would believe it. One of my old classmates died a couple months ago and i kind of want that peace feeling that hes somewhere good you know. I went to church when i was a kid up until i was about 12. I suppose i just believed in it then because everybody else did. But ive came to the realization that i dont believe in it. I think its all bogus. I really want to believe in it :( but i just dont see how that could be real, i think we just rot in the ground, nothing more, no after life your soul lifting out of your body none of that. Can anybody "inspire" me somehow or convince me that there is a higher power. I really want to believe in jesus :(

You can believe in Jesus. ANd I will help you get there. This isn't just one topic that I can give you the answer and it magically makes you believe. It takes time. I tell you what, I will work with you, if you give me your email, I willkeep in touch with you, and we can discuss everything about religion. I can reassure you that it is definetly real. I see God everyday, just not the way you'd think I see Him. See people think religion is black or white, right or wrong. THat isn't true, To know GOd, you have to clear all hatred from your heart, forgive your enemies, just call out to GOd. " Say I know I haven't talked to you in forever, and I'm still figuring out that you are real, will you please reach otu to me and help me" IF you say that, that first step you take is enough for God to reach out to you trust me.
So I would love to discuss this with you and help you, let me know if youd like to keep in touch about faith in religion, its my favorite topic. :)

i say Pray to God, and read the bible..If you keep doing this it will help..You can also, start visting ur local church to get support from christans..They can pray for you and it will be a start

im the same as you. it really is all bogus lies that are ment to control people. dont worry about wanting to believe in it. religion is a joke that dosnt have to be associated with spirituality. its not worth it. live a life you want to and treat the people in your life good. Be happy. Dont spend your life dwelling on whats gonna happen to you when you die or where we came from. All i can guarentee you is that we all came from the same place and were probly all gonna go the same place. and about jesus. We know jesus was a real man. He lived. And he spoke about treating people with respect and love. thats all you have to believe in. it dosnt matter if he was the son of god or born to a virgin, all that really matters is what he preached to people. the bible wasnt written by "god" or even jesus. it was a couple of dudes. dont waste your time with it. All i can say is that you have a lot of life to live. Things will happen in your life to make you believe different things. just always keep an open mind and heart.

I'm the same as you. I've tried to force myself into Christianity and I just can't do it. You don't have to believe in god and jesus to believe good things happen after you die. I've always sort of believed in reincarnation, that your soul and spirit comes back in a new life. I'm currently undeclared as far as religions go but I'm studying some new ones. I think America is so dominated by Christianity that we feel pressured to become a part of it. Find your own path. Be who you want to be. Only believe what your heart tells you. Your friend is at peace with or without god. Its up to you.

Everyone believes in there own things, I personally do not believe in Jesus but I do have some sense of god that I believe in. We cannot help you believe. You need to find what you believe in and go with that. Sometimes all it takes is too sit down and ask yourself a few questions and soon enough you find the answers. Remember not everyone believes the same exact things and that is perfectly okay.

I am a born again Christian. I think u shud read Bible, specially the New Testament and jusk ask God to reveal himself to u. I am sure he will do in some way. But be sincere. I am now living a peaceful life as I am now a born-again Christian
