I heard that Billy Mays (inventor of mighty putty, oxiclean, orange glo, etc. & was famous for those crazy infomercials) died at age 50 on June 28, 2009 (yesterday). Somebody posted it on MySpace and when I logged in I saw it and was like, "Billy Mays died TOO!?" I mean, Michael Jackson just died a few days ago! What's with all of the celebrities dying and stuff, right?
Question #2: His cause of death is, as of now, unknown. Hypertensive heart disease and arteriosclerotic heart disease are suspected to be the causes of his death.
Also, He DID NOT died of head trauma like the other three columnists on here claimed.
More about his death (if you really wish to know):
According to the autopsy report of Dr. Vernard Adams, a medical examiner of Hillsborough County, there were signs of hypertensive heart disease and arteriosclerotic heart disease. So they probably are the cause of his death.
Hypertensive heart disease: any heart disease caused by high blood pressure.
Arteriosclerotic heart disease: fat build up in coronary arteries and interrupt the flow of blood to the heart (hence: arteri--->artery and scler--->hardening).
But--note this--as of now, this is just merely a high possibility. Nothing is sure yet.
Again, there were signs of hypertensive AND arterioscleriotic disease of the heart.
Apparently a toxicology test (a standard test for drugs) will be conduct and it will be complete within six to eight weeks. Also, histologic studies (using microscopes to examine the tissues) will also be conduct.
Let's wait until then before we jump into any conclusion and risk spreading false news.
Again, the cause of his death is NOT YET KNOWN, at least not until the final results of the histologic studies and toxicology test are revealed. Hypertensive heart disease and arteriosclerotic heart disease are the top suspected causes of his death as-of-now. [ ThirdQED's advice column | Ask ThirdQED A Question ]

christina answered Monday June 29 2009, 3:44 pm: Yes, he is dead.
He was on a plane and the pilot had to make an emergency landing which was very bumpy. He said some stuff came down from the overhead storage & hit his head, but he announced that he was fine. Then yesterday he was pronounced dead & was said to have died in his sleep.
holahayley56 answered Monday June 29 2009, 3:28 pm: Yes, he did die. He was 50 i believe. He was on an airplane and hit his head or something, went to bed with a headache and never woke up. that is what it said in my newspaper. [ holahayley56's advice column | Ask holahayley56 A Question ]
amygwen answered Monday June 29 2009, 2:43 pm: Yes, it is true that Billy Mays died & it's unknown how he died. Supposedly the day before his death he was on an airplane and hit his dead really hard which might've contributed to why he passed away. They're doing the autopsy right now (they said they'd do it this afternoon) so hopefully we'll know something soonish!
And it's crazy that a lot of celebrities are dying. I thought the same exact thing. But there are thousands of people dying every single day, it just strangely seems to be a lot of well-known people lately! [ amygwen's advice column | Ask amygwen A Question ]
