I was just wondering and wanted to ask....What do you think about first cousins dating each other??

i definately dont think society will accept it or ones family. but i guess it just depends on ones morals, ethics...personally i wouldnt go this route but in the end its your choice. good luck

Society frowns upon incest but then again, ethics/morals are relative and are decide upon by society. Like someone else said, it's evolutionarily disadvantageous because the people involved will be running a higher risk of genetic defects if the two decide to have children because harmful recessive traits are more likely to show up, even if you're just talking about dating and not marriage and getting pregnant. I'm not sure if marriage is legal between first cousins either.. don't think so. Well, unless they are the same gender, people still think that is wrong. But yeah, to answer your question, most people are not accepting of that.

I don't have any problem with it. It is taboo because children of cousins have a slightly higher risk of genetic defects, and the abhorrence of incest was therefore selected for evolutionarily.
