They even have a warning and info on there about a lot of the Secret Shopper scams out there right now.
If you're looking to make some quick easy money on the side, might I suggest seeing if there are focus groups in your area? They usually take place in big cities but pay out pretty well (between $75-$200 give or take). Do some research on that online or see if your city is listed on [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

Mystery shoppers are usually pretty highly trained and part of the corporate team for whichever business it is. They have to know everything that is supposed to be happening. For example, Lowes employs its own mystery shoppers, and they have to have general knowledge about the entire store, so they can ask questions that people one the floor are supposed to be able to answer. They have to know all the "checkout steps" so they can make sure the cashier is following their procedures, etc.
christina answered Monday April 20 2009, 9:52 pm: I haven't found any that are very legit. I was actually scammed by applying for one on craigslist. I love shopping and saw an ad that they were looking so I applied. I researched it and what was happening to me had happened to other people and it was almost pretty exact to my situation.
I'm pretty sure there are some that legit, but just be careful about where you apply because some places are a scam & could get you into trouble. [ christina's advice column | Ask christina A Question ]
