Hilary duff got lumineers, I have them too. Lumineers are a type of "shell" that is thin and goes over your teeth. If your teeth are yellow, or chipped, or "mis shapen" or if you want them bigger, you can get them. They are permanent until you want them taken off. you eat sleep drink and do everything with them, and you dont feel them, they are exactaly like new teeth. I got mine when I was little because I had calcium spots on my teeth. Dentists can make the lumineers any shade you want. They can be pricey though, and knowing hilary, they were probably not cheap.
Ask your dentist for more information if you are considering getting them.
As for surgery, no you do not get surgery when you get them. Its a bond they put on your teeth, I was awake the whole time, and it barely hurt. They just have to dry the surface of your teeth, and mine are sensitive so that hurt a little.
Most dentists recommend you wait until you are 18 to get lumineers, because that is when your teeth stop growing.
Hope this helped! [ xosodapopx3's advice column | Ask xosodapopx3 A Question ]
