I'm a 13 year old female and i've been getting the urge to masturbate.
-am i too young to masturbate?
-does it hurt?
-how do i do it?
please help me! i dont know anything bout it but i've just heard of it.
What I'm going to tell you is different. Doctors all believe masturbation to be NORMAL. Furthermore, they've backed it up with studies and statistics. 70% of females do it and 90% of males of ALL AGES. That means infants, toddlers, teens, adults, senior citizens--well you get the idea.
It's normal if you do it and normal if you don't according to them. It's considered universal among teens of both sexes. Your classmates probably all do it but feel ashamed to admit it. Girls are also more discreet about it and don't talk to peers like boys do.
Age has nothing to do with it. It's your choice to do it and your choice not. As far as instructions go we can't and won't do that or provide links as we must protect minors.
Having said this tips won't help you as every girl and every guy responds differently to certain stimuli. The best thing to do is try different things out and see what works for you.
Also, you said you've heard the word masturbation before but don't know what it means or is. The Webster's Dictionary defines it as stimulate one's own genitals for sexual pleasure.
• [ trans. ] stimulate the genitals of (someone) to give them sexual pleasure. [ solidadvice4teens's advice column | Ask solidadvice4teens A Question ]

Your just I guess you could say "maturing" in your sexual feelings faster, its a normal and actually healthy thing. I was your age when I started wanting to feel that type of pleasure. There are many ways to masturbate, i think the only way it will hurt you is if you actually put a masturbating toy inside of you (vibrator, dildo, etc.) so just start out with the finger masturbation until your vagina is lose enough actually insert a masturbation toy of some sort, but you are to young to perches such a thing, so that's the only down fall on starting to learn about your bodies sexual needs, but the plus side is, you are learning what your body will like when it does become time for you to have actually sexual intercourse, witch i home is many years from now! christina answered Friday April 10 2009, 5:26 pm: No, you're not too young. You're at the age where you're curious about stuff like that. It doesn't hurt. I'll give you a google search on how to do it though.
Vivienne answered Friday April 10 2009, 4:27 pm: you most certainly are not too young to masturbate. masturbating is a safe and healthy way to express ones sexuality. there are no real rules as to how to masturbate, and if it hurts then adjust what you are doing so that it feels good. the most common way to achieve an orgasm is to stimulate the clitoris, which is located at the upper end of the vagina(the one thats closer to your pubic area)begin by gently rubbing it, and proceed until you feel the need to stop. you might want to use a lubricant, such as vaseline or olive oil(i know, it sounds weird, but it is a safe and effective method...hope this helps xo vivi [ Vivienne's advice column | Ask Vivienne A Question ]
