I have the weirdest question in the world...

Question Posted Friday April 3 2009, 6:58 pm

Okay so,
I was really curious about this...
How close can you get to your root when you shave?
Can you actually kill the root with the razor?
Or will your skin not let you go that far?
This question is haunting me!

PLEASEEEE HELPPP! :)

You are not able to kill the root. Your hair will always grow back, no matter what...even with lazer hair removal.

The skin is composed of many layers. Deep within the dermis (one of the layers) is the hair follicle, through which sweat & other fluids are released. If the hair follicle gets clogged with dirt, an ingrown hair forms.

Because only your epidermis is what your razor touches, you are not touching the root.
Epithelial tissue (skin) is there to protect your blood from bacteria, like such that would be on the razor.

okay so where it say on the pic. skin surface you only shave that hair but the follicle is still under the skin so thats why hair always grows back and your skin will not let you go that far to reach it no matter how you shave you can't get to it.
however you can you products such as Nair a cream that goes into the hair follicle and melts the hair i use this is works like a charm but it really irritates my skin makes it very vunerable. the onle way to never have to shave again is to get laser hair removal the laser damages and kills the hair follicle so that it can't grow anymore.

anymore questions just ask! hope i helped you out.
