dont be ashamed if you find yourself in stores like ross or something like that. try using accesories like belts and earrings, try to mix and match..you'll find it to be completely intertaining and fun!

As soon as American Eagle, Hollister or Abercrombie came out with a new shirt or jean, you saw it on 3 different girls the very next day!
The way I broke out of the mold was to start shopping at smaller boutiques. The clothes are trendier, and you can find good deals if you shop the sale racks. If you have all those larger stores around you have boutiques around too, you just need to start noticing them.
Also, shop outside your own city if possible.
Layering and accessories are one way to start building your own unique look. It takes some experimenting Plus, you just have to have the guts to try something outside the usual. Also, think in terms or 'outfits' vs just Jeans and a Shirt. Get the purse, jewelry, shoes to go with it. You can swap things around, but make it a whole outfit.
Take a poster board and lots of old magazines. Cut out pictures of models wearing outfits you like. By the time you are finished, you will start to see a 'look' that you are attracted to.
Now that I am older *Sr High - I can look at clothes and say 'That looks like Kelsey' 'Taylor would love that" "Lindsey wears this type of dress a lot', because they all have their own 'style' And NO ONE wears a Hollister t-shirt anymore! lol [ maddiec123's advice column | Ask maddiec123 A Question ]
