breathing?

Question Posted Monday February 9 2009, 4:17 pm

so i was reading some thing on the internet about how breathing can change your metablolism, or the way you breathe can depend on how your metabolism works/how you burn calories. and it was a bunch of like breathing excersizes and stuff that you do for 30 minutes that like works on the way you breathe or something and it says its suppose to raise your metabolism. is this true? can the way you breathe have an affect on how you burn calories or how you metabolism works?

Yes i think it could be true. And you can even try.

But i remember long time in my town, they used to say something like "If you laugh too much, you gain weight". No i don't mean literally it was just a saying, so search more and try. why not?

Good Luck

It couldn't hurt, I believe breathing will help you big time mentally. It can relax you, lower blood pressure, teaches you to focus, help you concentrate, it's endless. I don't know about metabolism, but, it is a possiblity. It won't hurt you at all, it will only be good for you. Read some books on meditation. You will be suprised. good luck.

It could. Doing breathing exercises can increase your heart rate, which burns calories.
