Question Posted Tuesday January 20 2009, 7:28 pm

Well, lately i've been interested in reading (which never in my life has happened)and i've already read the books i want. Can someone tell me if there is a book/series like "Twilight"(Stephenie Meyer)or "House of the Night"(Kristen Cast).

The Host- Stephenie Meyer

If you like the Twilight Saga, you will like this book too, because the writing style is the same. It isn't about vampires, but it does have a dark theme, with love intertwined with it too.

Someone already mentioned the Blue Bloods books, and the Vampire Acadamy, but I reccommend those as well. However none of these, nor the House of Night books in my opinion, come anywhere close to Twilight.

If you have just started reading, then maybe you will like books that do not meet that particular criteria as well. Twilight really isn't all that "dark." Yeah it's about vampires, but the main theme is love. So expand your horizons, and try something else :)

The Luxe series is good. There is a lot of love, and a lot of betrayal. So maybe you can check out those books?

V.C Andrews, Nicholas Sparks, & Jodi Picoult write really good novels. I would reccommend any of them.

I love those two series!
Other books that are good to are

Vampire Kisses by Ellen Shreiber
Blue Bloods by Melissa de la Cruz
and
Night world
and Vampire Diaries by L.J. Smith

Hope you like them :)

If you're interested specifically in vampires, check out Scott Westerfeld's "Peeps". His other novels are excellent too.

It may be a little hard to find, but Chelsea Quinn Yarbro's "Blood Games" is good stuff too. Vampires in the Roman Empire, FTW!

Hope this helps.
