Yes, unfortunately, that is possible.
All you need to become pregnant is for sperm to come into contact with the vagina. While it's very unlikely to happen, there have been cases where it does.
Her boyfriend could have masturbated then fingered her without wiping the semen off of his fingers. They could have had "outercourse" (term from 40 Year Old Virgin) and she could have become pregnant from that.

It could be as simple as rubbing parts together but the guy not completely ejaculating inside of her.
