mangoes93008 answered Wednesday December 3 2008, 8:45 pm: A real friend depends on the each individual. Some people think other qualities are more important than others. It always depends. There's a possibility that some people rather have a smart friend than a non-smart person. Some rather have more of a aritistic person. My opinion on a friend is one who treats me equally even though I'm asian and short. Friends who help me when it is needed and not gives me space. One who is fun to be with and not serious of the time but not just a slacker. There are some qualities that I don't like of my friends but that makes them better because they are different makes it more interesting. I want a friend who will come with me when I need them and always wants to help me. I have a friend like that and she's my closest friend. I want a friend who is positive and has a good sense of humor. One who has the same interests as me. Something to talk about.
Well...at times I could be a bad friend but I'm a good friend because I include people, have a good time with a friend and its been three years since I've been friends with my current friends and it is working out well. I don't lie to my friends, cheat them, and make rumors about them. [ mangoes93008's advice column | Ask mangoes93008 A Question ]

But to know who your "real friends" are is (I think) kind of simple. You just need to know if they are true to you in front of your face and behind your back. They need to be trustworthy, so that you can tell them anything and not have to worry about your secrets getting out. They will most likely make you feel better/happy whenever they are around you, or they will know how to comfort you when you are bumming. Real friends pretty much know everything about you, and still love you for who you are. They don't care about what kind of clothes you wear or how your hair looks or if mommy and daddy are rich. Real friends care about what's on the inside, not the outside. [ bubbalay306's advice column | Ask bubbalay306 A Question ]
