Does anyone know if the Acer laptop is a good kind of laptop? I was thinking about getting one of those really small 8 inch ones for christmas, but I don't want to end up with a crappier laptop then the one I've already got. Thanks!

if u are looking for a small with high mobility yet latest technology in it you can buy netbook rather than regular laptop. you can see the product through tigerdirect.com, activeshoppers etc with the keywords: netbook. then you'll see that it offers a better value of what you can get with approx US$500 budgetm (quite handy to take care your mobile daily activities such as browsing, typing, and most of all it is lighter)thats why this netbook is commonly used by hackers as their most portable weapon yet cost less! The hinge on mine has now broken 3 times... and its a 45 dollar part to fix. I do like acer, but the tablet version is not something I would recommend. Also- it takes a long time to boot up. Its good to point, as are all laptops. Being small, its memory won't be as big as normal computers and the processing power isn't as good. Its good as a school laptop for small things like typing up work or making presentations, but if your trying to use it as a personal PC, you might be disappointed if you try to install too much to it. Overall, it is a good PC, but not for everything a personal PC could handle. [ Psycotheis's advice column | Ask Psycotheis A Question ]
