I want to dye my hair blond.

Question Posted Saturday October 11 2008, 2:17 am

Ok, for Halloween, i want to go as a Bimbo or a hooker or something like that. So i want to dye my hair blond for it.

My hair is Black... so what would i have to do to get it blond... and how many times??

also... do you think my hair might fall out?
like if i bleach it?

It'll only be for 1 night, but i don't want to get a wig.

thanks.

It's just for one night, though.
Why go through all that trouble of damaging your hair for just ONE night?
You have black hair, and you will have to bleach it more than once to get your hair blond.
But that is EXTREMELY damaging.
Your hair won't just fall out, but it'll break.
Which isn't any better.
I'd say your best bet is to just buy a wig, in the long run you'll be happy you did.
Besides, you only want it for one night.
And as others have said, a hooker doesn't need blond hair.
You can have black hair for this costume.

But if you feel you MUST bleach your hair, just go to a professional. AT LEAST. It'll still be very damaging, but it'll be better than doing it yourself.
And a toner also might help you with bleaching....

But like I said before, I'd just go with the wig.
You'll be thankful for that wig in the long run.

your hair might not fall out but i can almost assure you that it will break, and when it breaks it can break off so i'ts really short, like boy's hair. what's so bad about a wig? and hookers can have black hair too it doesnt have to be blonde.

oh yeah and since you're going from black to blonde bleach will just make it orange.

I do NOT suggest you bleach your hair for one night. If you have black hair naturally and bleach it, your hair will break off badly & probably will never be healthy again. I took Cosmetology, so trust me I know. I have naturally dark hair and decided I wanted blonde hair, so I bleached it. I got it professionally done, and they had to bleach it 2 times one day and a few more times later that month just to get it blonde instead of orange. It's not worth it. I would just get a wig or maybe highlight your hair blonde. My hair broke off terribly and didn't grow for a year. It's terrible!

I'd suggest bleaching it at a salon, but honestly, for one night? It'll be really bad for your hair.
If you're gonna bleach it, I suggest keeping it for at least a few weeks and use some repair shampoo for dry and damaged hair.
