You need to do at least some.. depending. If you are already outstanding in sports, music, art, or some other extracurricular then don't worry about it.

It depends entirely on the college. It definitely is a good, positive thing to have on your transcript.
Check www.collegeboard.com and search for the college[s] you're interested in. There's specific information about being accepted to each, and it ranks how important factors such as class rank, volunteer work, your interview, etc. is to your application.

very its a credit you need volunteer work to get into a good college if you want to go to a community college then you dont have to but if you want to go to an out of state college then you need volunteer work
