Usually when I apply eyeliner, it makes my eyes look smaller.
I use smokey gray and black eyeliner since brown doesn't suit me.
At all. It makes me look like I'm sick. :P
So yeah, tips/pictures on how I should apply it?
Thanks!

If you MUST apply to your bottom lashes, line ONLY the outter third. On your upper lash line, try thickening the liner line as you near the outter edges of your lashes. Extend the line just past the edges of your eyes. This will make your eyes appear wider. Also, line the inner corners of your eyes with a white liner or (as I prefer to do) apply a shimmer powder to the inner corners of your eyes.
I would not advocate lining your waterline. Makeup is a breeding ground for bacteria and though some women will swear by it, it just isn't healthy for your eyes.
Curl your lashes and apply mascara. I'll paste a bit of advice I offered on achieving long, thick lashes.
I would suggest using a product called Ready to Wear Lash Extension. It's FABULOUS. It gives the same effect that false lashes do but without all of the hastle of glue and application.
It's basically a tube of very small black fibers that attach to the tips of your eyelashes. You apply a coat of mascara, then apply the extensions to the ends of your lashes (before your mascara dries!) and then reapply your mascara to lock them in place. You can repeat these steps as often as you like, depending upon how long and thick you want your lashes to appear. It takes a few applications to get it just right but really it's very easy to apply and it looks fantastic.
If you choose to try this out, I would use a mascara with an exact/high definition lash brush. I find that my lashes tend to look clumpy with this product otherwise. I personally use CG Lash Blast (it's in a big, orange tube)
I don't personally think eyeshadow is very necessary for everyday wear. I just sweep some shimmer on my browbone to further open my eyes.
If you're looking for affordable makeup, I've found a few products that I really love. For an eye shimmer, I use Physicians Formula Natural Eyelight and for liner, I use Revlon ColorStay liquid liner. It comes in a small black tube. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. It creates really defined lines that stay all day.

Another way to look up to see if the color suits you is to google make up tips for your skin tone.
What I can tell you (being a person with rather small eyes myself), is that applying eyeshadow really helps make your eyes look bigger. Color should be for the eyelid itself and you should kinda smudge (blend) it or make it lighter as you get closer to your brow.
