Help MAJOR HELP (zipped files)

Okay this question is based on the sims 2 games, but even if you don't have the games or play them please read my question and see if you know how to help me, thank you!!
QUESTION:
Okay So I know how to download clothes and stuff off of the sims2.com exchange. BUT my problem is you know all the other websites that you can download custom content off of such as [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) Well whenever I download those files or any off of another fan site. It downloads them as a "zipped file"
WHATS that??? THen it wants me to put them on cd's HELP me . I really want those files!!!

Ok, here's a link that explains how to download custom content from other sites besides The Sims 2 Exchange.

Also I suggest you stop using 'Dahoodsims2'. It's infested with viruses.

I don't know what that is, but I wouldn't trust those sites. The only one I'd use is the official Sims 2 website, and be careful even when doing that.


Just thought I'd warn you that it's REALLY easy to download viruses and spyware through sites like that =/
