I knew exactly what it was when you mentioned the symptoms as i've been having them now for many years.
What you need to do when it happens is go somewhere quiet to relax. in your home it's easy, go to your bedroom, close the door, if you can put a dvd on, read a magazine, do a puzzle book till the feels go. Also have a drink with you at all times, it helps to combat those sickly feels the panic brings on.
Have a fan helps too, as it helps the dizzyness/lightheadedness.
Go to your GP too for more help, they wont neseseraly put you on medication, thats usually a last resort, see if they can recomend some natural remedies, Lavander is very good for panic.
I have a lavander roll on stick, that i put on my wrists when i panic, and smelling salts/oils too. You can get them from health shops.

I've been having anxiety/panic attacks for over 2 months now and I had a really bad one last night at work. Trust me, I know exactly how you feel. You should go to the doctors and tell them about it. They may prescribe medication to take everyday or when you begin to feel nervous and feel one coming on. This is something that could be a passing thing, or, depending on the stress in your life, could be something long-term. Anyhow, here is the link I went to last night and found alot of helpful information. Take care.
Lovetornado answered Thursday July 17 2008, 4:33 am: It could be a panic attack. And if it is, its because you are nervous. And you have too much air in your body. And you need to breath into a paper bag. Unles you are use to them, and you know ones coming. Then you just need to take a step back and breath big, slow deep breaths. Its normal. Im 13/f and i have them all the time. You just need to know how to control them. [ Lovetornado's advice column | Ask Lovetornado A Question ]
