now being serious
I think big is beautiful
I look at women like Queen Latifah and Tyra Banks
and they are Thick beautiful women
but then you have the Paris Hilton's and the Nicole Richies
who are dam near a string and thats what america thinks is right.
thats what men think is "Hot"
but to me they have little girl bodies
now i'm a thick girl and i love it
but i still sometimes feel the need to be thin
not because i'm not happy with myself
but because of the way others may look at me
my skinny friends get attention from guys our age
but i get it from men that are 20, 21 ,22
I jus really want to know Is big BEAUTIFUL
or am i just buggin'?
The best way to attract a guy is to be yourself. If you try to change yourself just to get a boyfriend [especially at your age]- you'll just end up with someone who only likes you for what you've become- not who you are. If you be yourself- and don't change- you'll attract more guys who actually care about your personality rather than just your looks.
I myself like any type of girl. I honestly don't judge looks as much as I do personality. If a girl is absolutely stunningly beautiful, but she's a bitch- why would I like her? What would our relationship be? What would we talk about? Her latest hair extensions? Yeah- that would be REALLY nice *Sarcasm: Party of one!*...
If a girl has a really nice personality- and she's really outgoing and sweet and nice and smart- and she's not necessarily the best looking girl- but she's not super unattractive- then I'll most likely want to date her over the beautiful bitch.
Do you get what I'm saying? If you let guys see your personality more than your looks- you'll end up with someone great. Trust me- most guys prefer personality over looks- they just don't know it yet =].
But, to specifically answer your question, I think big can be very beautiful. In fact, if a girl doesn't have a little meat [excuse my vocabulary], then it's really sick. Girls who are thinner than stick figures are SICK.
Trust me, you'll find a guy who loves you for YOU.

WHen guys your age grow up they will realize that if someone has confidence it is beautiful. FINALLY, in todays societY SOMEONE thinks skinnys gross!! Good for you. If you feel great, you will look great. Stay strong, once the people your age grow up they will realize how beautiful you really are.
LOL_x0x answered Thursday July 10 2008, 1:06 pm: I am not a guy, but I personally think it's what's on the inside that truly counts.
I'm also glad that you're asking this question in the form you are. You're not asking HOW to be thinner, and that makes me happy. Kudos to you for being who you are and not being ashamed!
Don't let magazines and celebrities make you feel like you have to be a size zero to be beautiful. I don't think skinny girls like Nicole Richie look good, at all. It makes me want to go eat a cupcake to ensure I'll NEVER look like them. It's unhealthy, it's disgusting, and it's putting a terrible image of "beautiful" into the minds of young women everywhere.
Don't worry about not getting attention from guys. One day, you'll find one who loves you inside and out. Just wait, and it will so be worth it =]

So whatever it is, just pick which ever! If you wnat to change, do it simply because YOU want to, but for NO ONE else! If it helps you feel good about yourself, I say, do it! be happy in your skin... which ever way you are!

I personally think it's an American way of thinking and kind of has to do with who you are with. When I was younger, if I was with my white friends, I always felt fat, even though I wasn't. When I was with my black friends, I thought I was too skinny and not curvy enough. But I realized that we are ALL made different. No two people on this earth are the same, which makes us unique, which makes us beautiful. As long as you carry yourself well and love yourself, then others will love you too.
I'm glad you brought up Tyra because I love that woman! In one of her episodes, she mentioned a group of girls in her high school. They weren't the prettiest girls, but they had an attitude and confidence about them that made all the guys go crazy. You can be a pretty girl, but if you are insecure it shows. Sexiness and confidence pretty much go hand in hand.
snickerzz11 answered Thursday July 10 2008, 3:37 am: Personally, I think it's all about attitude. I view Queen Latifah as a really beautiful woman because from what I've seen, she has a great personality- always smiling and laughing, and she just seems really bubbly and nice. To me, that makes her beautiful.
Also, it's hardly fair to say that thin girls have little girl bodies and don't deserve attention from guys- I'm thin, and that's just the way I was built. There isn't a double standard in this situation- the skinniest girl in the world wouldn't be nearly as beautiful as she could be if she was always frowning and glaring and had a mean, bitchy personality. But she could be just as beautiful as Queen Latifah if she just had a happier look on life, and let people know.
