Pubes [didnt know which cat. of heath to put it in]

Question Posted Tuesday July 8 2008, 8:28 pm

Okay, is it more or whenever i shave my pubes they start appearing the next day.. is that normal? Because whenever i shave, the next day they start sticking out again, i mean, i like having it nice and smooth down there, im wondering if it is just me?

also, if i try to shave the appearing hairs away i get a terrible rash!! so i have to wait about 5 or 6 days.. or a week, to shave again, and thats really uncomfortable.

so if its not just me, whats going on? and how can i stop them from growing back so fast!

It's completely normal! It just means you have thick hair. A lot of girls have thick hair. I know that because I can shave and the next morning it'll be all grown back. Waxing lasts longer and it stays softer & smoother for a longer amount of time! ♥

That's pretty normal, everyone's hair grows at different rates. I'd totally recommend using shaving cream when you do shave your pubes and even a lotion after wards. Just be sure to keep the skin soft and moisturized, it will make it so much easier to handle. If its really bad, you could even use a hair conditioner on the skin to help out.

You can't really control how quickly your hair grows back. You can always try just trimming your pubes, but that can be more work.

Good luck

That's normal- and the itchiness and rash is normal too, because the skin is very sensitive down there. I don't think there's anything you can really do about it- it's just the way your hair grows. However, you could try to use different methods of hair removal- like Nair (make sure to buy the bikini formula, otherwise it may be too strong and burn your skin) or wax strips. Another alternative would be a professional bikini wax, which would last longer but not forever, or laser hair removal, which would last longer but is expensive. Hope you find something that works! Nahh, this is completely 100% normal. (:
Shaving your pubes is tricky, a chore, and a bitch to do.
This is going to be annoying, but let it grow ALL back out full length. Once you've done that, take any pair of scissors and trim them down as short as you possibly can. Then treat yourself to a very long, hot shower. Just super clean yourself and get every part of you very very moisturized. Make sure your razor gets a lot of water, too. Once you've soaked, put shaving cream on and always ALWAYS shave UP towards you. If you shave down, it'll hurt..a lot. Shave it thoroughly and rub it after you think your done for rough spots to re-touch.
Immediately after you get out of the shower, put some sort of lotion on it. A lot of it, too.

If you want to shave the appearing hairs again, just do the same process, just with out regrowing it and trimming it.

Good luck!
-Amy
