i'm babysitting these two kids on tuesday, one is a year and a half old, and the other is about 3and a half years old.
this is my first time babysitting so i don't have a rate and i'm almost 15 years old.
how much should i charge per hour?
like 5 or 6$?
thanks

Definitely go for $6 an hour. If they think its too much then they will bargain down. Fingers crossed they will make the first offer for something more.
How exciting for you! Congratulations!
Good luck darl. =]

Since there's 2 of them and they're quite young, go for $6.
and if they happen to give you more, then good for you. :) [ thelaura's advice column | Ask thelaura A Question ]

If they give you more then that then just say that its to much. good luck! [ Smashvolley14's advice column | Ask Smashvolley14 A Question ]
StarryNightSkies answered Sunday July 6 2008, 2:29 pm: well from all my babysitting experiences (it's been 7 years since i've started) no one really asks you how much you want to get paid. they just kind of pay you.
but if they do ask then yeah about 5 or 6 dollars an hour is a good wage. i babysit 2 times a week for 10 hours each day and get 6 dollars an hour.
