Questioning the defenition of bisexualaty

Question Posted Tuesday July 1 2008, 5:34 pm

I have recently told my mom i am bisexual. I have a girlfriend she doesn't know about. But occasionally i am attracted to men, and i have had boyfriends. she says bisexual means to have sex with men and woman. I say it means to able to have a relationship more than friends with a man and a woman. Well me and my girlfriend are both 'bisexual'. We are also both virgins. so how is it my mom thinks shes right? I need the right definition, or if my mom or me is right. Please-------help!!!!

i agree with you and the other person too. your mom is wrong. you don't have to have sex to be bisexual. or even to be sexual. you are right!

here are some definitions i have found

bisexual = A person capable of having physical, romantic, and sexual attraction attractions towards both sexes. What bisexual is NOT: Sex fiends looking to hump everything in sight. Just a phase of confusion. A fad

bisexual = To be bisexual is to be attracted to a person regardless or gender or sex. It does not mean that you cannot make up your mind, it does not mean you are sex-crazed, and it does not mean that you will by default participate in orgies every night.

bisexual = A person who is emotionaly, sexually, physically and spiritually attracted to both genders. A person who also can find it hard to decide which sex to be with; but isn't someone who does it for attention, or desperation.

maybe you should show your mom others agree with YOU

It really depends how you look at it
Personaly, I think you are right
I have Bisexual friends
They are virgins
But they still love eachother
I see it as, you don't need to have sex with both men and woman to be bisexual, just attracted
Thats kinda saying love is all about sex
Which its not
=]
Hope I helped
