ok so I've been wearing make-up forever now and only recently my eyes have become super blood shot. They started doing that towards the end of the school year &+ now. I don't suppose I'm allergic or anything because my eyes didn't do that in the beginning or the middle of the year. I really don't know what it could be. My mom thinks it's my eyeliner (but we're not really sure) and she also wants me to stop wearing make-up altogether. So is there a way that I can still keep wearing eyeliner without it making my eyes blood shot? Maybe I should switch to a different eyeliner brand? or what? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Try not wearing some for just a couple days. It wont kill you I promise. Switch to a different brand.
If all else fails, get some Visine. Try using one for contacts first. It sounds weird, but redness-reducing eyedrops contain ingrediets that could actually irritate your eyes MORE. Contact stuff is just lubricating and moisturizing and is simply a LOT nicer on your eyeballs.

When you rub your eyes, it irritates them, causing the blood shot eye look. You need eyeliner that won't do that or don't stand directly in front of air. There is a brand of eyeliner that is cover girl that you can find in Family Dollar. It is a long stick, black, thin, and you twist the eyeliner up instead of sharpening it. It will also have a white eraser looking thing on the end that you can use to wipe off the excess if you mess it up. [ Advicelady6798's advice column | Ask Advicelady6798 A Question ]

Anyways, you could try a different brand of eyeliner and see if that works. If that makes your eyes bloodshot too, then your eyes are probably sensitive to all eyeliners. Also, you might be accidently getting it in your eye to much. Hope this helps! [ ccupcake07's advice column | Ask ccupcake07 A Question ]
Disconnected answered Tuesday July 1 2008, 11:03 am: Don't wear eyeliner for a couple of days, at all.
See if your eyes are less bloodshot then.
Another thing you could try is to buy a hypo-allergenic eyeliner.
That could solve the problem.
