Acne??

Question Posted Sunday June 29 2008, 6:08 pm

Hey ,
I was just wondering ,
some people say when you have acne , it depends on the things you eat , if I don't eat any junk food or any things like that will my acne die down a bit or will it keep on spreading?
thank you!

I know how bad acne sucks but something that works personally for me is Clearisil Acne Vanishing cream it really works it drys them up and all. Also maybe use an acne pad closer to the night time after your day is over. Good Luck

Hey, first i would like to start off by saying i have been told that if you usually drink sodas alot, and then you cut down your acne will start to fade away. I tried it and it worked it just took a little while. While you stop drinking sodas you should also try to use an acne wash like Pro active or Neutrogena. You might even want to go see a dermatologist.

Thanks and remember to come back for more advice.

What you eat really doesn't have much to do with your skin. When you're a teenager, it doesn't really have to do that much with your skin care, either. I take really really good care of my skin. I use a very expensive cleanser, toner, and moisturizer (NOT PROACTIV! That stuff is bad for your skin), and I still break out sometimes. It's just the hormones in your body going all out of whack. The best thing for acne? Pills. Go to your dermatologist and ask them what would be best for you. Not everything is as dangerous as Acutane, there are tons of milder forms that could be just right for you.

Actually, I've been to a few doctors and they've told me that what you eat doesn't really have that big of affect on acne. Acne can be genetic, meaning it could be something passed on to you from your parents. It also has to do with teenage hormones. Also, periods can be a huge part of acne. Go to a dermatologist, and they will prescribe you a medicine to apply to it, that will clear it all up! ♥

Yes. It is true that what you eat can cause you to have acne. However, this is not the only reason you get them.

Heres a website with a list of foods:

It should die down, but if it doesn't, here's a method to get rid of acne that I know works:

From there:
I know this sounds weird, odd, strange, etc., but what I'm about to say to you ACTUALLY works:

Get some lemon juice. You got the lemon juice? Alright- now take the lemon juice- and take a Q-tip and dab some lemon juice onto your zit with the lemon juice. Just a thin layer- not the whole bottle, silly! =D

Alright- so doing this at night is the best thing to do- it will really reduce the size and shape of the zit- and you won't know it was there in a few days.

Make sure not to touch it with your fingers after you put on the lemon juice- the oils from your fingers will stop the effect.

Relax- everyone gets zits- so you're only normal =D.
