Our year

Question Posted Thursday June 26 2008, 8:27 pm

Me- 16-female
Boyfriend- 17-male
we've been dating for almost a year and my idea for our year since we havent taken many pictures was take one of the pictures we have and put it in a little frame for him and then put it in a box with a shirt he'd like along with our favorite candy that we purchase and eat together quite frequently which happens to be gummy worms & put a few bottles of his favorite pop and maybe an energy drink in there and give it too him that way does this sound like something you would enjoy to get?
would you give this to your boyfriend for your 1 year?
((moneys an issue for me))
which is why i cant go all out like he does for me.i love him

please give me your imput and maybe some more ideas of things to add to make it extra amazing! =D

If my boyfriend did that for me, I'd absolutely love it! It's really thoughtful and shows him how much you remember little details. You should also write him a poem from the heart. I did that for my boyfriend on our two year anniversary and he litterally cried. And no he's no much of an emotional person, lol. But yes, that's an GREAT idea!!

I think it's a nice idea. If you have any time on your hands, perhaps make something, too (make the frame, decorate the box for him, make him a pillow etc) because things which take time and effort to do are valued more than store bought items. It's not always about the money.

Also don't forget a card. Write in it how much he means to you and how much you've enjoyed the time you have spent together and all that. Sometimes words and knowing one's true feelings mean more than objects.

I can't fathom why he wouldn't like that. I think he would appreciate the framed picture as well as the candy and other things you mentioned. Why? it reminds him of you and moments already shared. A gift doesn't have to be expensive.

It has to be heartfelt or have some kind of meaning for the person getting it. I'm sure he would like it.

However, you can make it even better if you wanted. You can also make him dinner with candlelight if you chose to. If you don't have a lot of money some couples have made little coupon books they exchange and can use at any time. coupons would be good for massage, making dinner, cuddling or whatever you come up with.

The other thing is if you have $20 or less you can get him a gift-card for one CD or get one he likes. You can also get movie theater gift certificates for that price too.

Do what feel right as you know him better than anyone. Definitely give him what you said you wanted to above and if you choose to expand or not on it he'll still love it.

Another cool idea you might want to try is to make a scrapbook for him that tells the story of your relationship thus far and put in pictures and other things to do that. You'd have fun with this and I'm sure he would love it.
