If you might have an std, then you should use one because you could still pass it on to her.
BUT if she has a coldsore USE IT!!!! If she went down on you with a cold sore that goes away in two weeks, you get genital herpes for the reesstt of your life!
It could also just be a preference, so talk to the person you are going to be getting oral from and see if they might wanna use it or not, and make sure you mention coldsores/stds and such. [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]

Even though you couldn't get pregnant during oral sex, you could still get an STD, which is something that a condom could help prevent. [ snickerzz11's advice column | Ask snickerzz11 A Question ]
sasi721 answered Tuesday June 17 2008, 9:20 pm: It is not required to use a condom during oral sex just like it isn't required to use a condom during intercourse. However, if you decide not to use a condom during oral sex you are still at risk for STDs/STIs (Sexually transmitted dieases/infections) just like you are if you have intercourse because diseases are transmitted by each partners fluids mixing. The chances of getting an STD during oral sex is slimmer, however, I advise you don't put yourself at any risk, so please use a condom unless you know 100% every person your partner has been with and if you trust your partner won't mess around on you and bring you a disease.
