me and my mom got kicked out of our grandparents house and she got fired from her job we at her ex boyfriends house for one night then we have to live in her car and we have no where to go what should i do i have been crying for the last 4 hours
The first thing I did was contacted the Cabinet for Women and Children to advise that I was homeless, the next thing I did was stayed at a shelter, worked, continued caring for my children as best I could, while working. My children had to go to daycare and I was able to seek assistance for childcare payment. If you are old enough to obtain a job, it is very important to help your mom. Your mom could go through a temporary agency to find a fast job with fast pay quickly for fast income.
There are apartments that help people with no income through the housing authorities, normally there is a waiting list, but due to the urgency of the matter, your mom qualifies as an emergecy resident. Please contact the local housing authorities there as well.
Some one recommended contacted the grandparents and asking if you all could stay there a little while longer - while I do understand that, I disagree with it because your grandparents put all of you out, knowing the situation so it is apparent that they don't want you there.
If you belong to a church, contact the pastor and advise of the situation. Churches also help. Crying isn't going help, but it is purely natural and I totally understand dear heart. I am praying that all works out for you and your family. I have never understood why certain things happen but once it's over, it is clear as to the purpose of why it happened. ALL happens for a reason (good things and bad things). Be strong for your mother, support and encourage her as you gain the support from all of us commenting to you. Don't you have other family besides your grandparents who wouldn't mind you staying for a few days? What about friends?
Since your mum got fired, I suppose cash is running low? Is there any left over for a few days at a cheap bed and breakfast/hotel/etc?
If it's possible, you/your mum could try to negotiate with her ex boyfriend or grandparents to let you stay that little bit longer (if you haven't already).
Help your mum look for any job for the time being. If you could get one, that would help so much, too.
This is going to be a tough time, but it won't be permanent. Don't forget, if all else fails and you can't find anywhere to stay, there must be a refuge near by. They will help you out a lot.
I hope everything works out for you. Try to keep strong. [ thelaura's advice column | Ask thelaura A Question ]

Just move around friends houses if you can. Try to get a job, you know to help with the money being tight. Help your mom get a job. Keep your mom strong. Its not about how you fall down. Its about how you build yourself up. Buildyourself up stronger. Be the best that you can be. When life hands you lemons make lemonade. I know that you can get through this. But as long as you work for it you can do anything.
Lola answered Thursday June 5 2008, 9:39 am: Hey, that sounds real tough, but i'm sure you'll get through it. The solution is not to sit and cry about it, you should try to be calm and relaxed so you'd be able to think and in the same time, your supposed to be supporting your mom at a time like that, cause she's probably feeling alot worse than you right now, so you should try to make her feel better by making her think positive and to show her that you can get through this.
So here is the thing, you didn't mention why you got kicked out of the house, but definitely there was a reason there, fortunately it would only be a misunderstanding or maybe just an over exaggeration about something, so if you talk to your grandparents quietly and sort things out, i'm sure that no matter what or how big the problem is, they would never allow you to live in cars and in the street and all that stuff, cause after all, your still a family, and i'm asure they don't know that you don't have anywhere to stay now, cause if they did, they would never allow your present living conditions.
And if it is that serious, like majorly serious, then maybe you could stay over at other relatives or maybe a friend of yours , like a really good friend, or some friend of your mother's, at least temporarily till things get sorted out with your grandparents. But don't worry there, hold on tight, i'm positive things are gonna be just fine.
If you need any other help or if you feel like talking with someone, please be free to contact me. Take care there.
And hey , i almost forgot, about your mother's job, i'm sure there was a reason for that too, and she's either can sort that out with the people there at her work or she's gonna start looking for another job, either way, she's gonna do the right thing, so i don't want you worrying. I know it feels bad especially that everything is just happening all at once, but that shit always happens, sometimes things just all get really bad and messy all at once, but by thinking right and being calm about it, you will find the right solution and everything is gonna be alright and in no time. Take care. [ Lola's advice column | Ask Lola A Question ]
