It's not cheap looking as the others said, it just isn't the "prom look" the dress looks like you are on a night out with your friends.
i think you should go for something alittle bit dressier.

I personally like the dress, but NOT for Prom. Your Prom is one night in your life you'd never forget, you don't want to go looking like your about to go clubbing afterwards.

It's not cheap looking but it's also not very classy. It's more of a glam look, but it's not a bad looking dress.
