meiosis and mitosis

science test tomorrow



could someone explain both to me simply enough so i understand, but with enough info so i dont fail

for meiosis when is the cell haploid and when is it diploid. agh i just dont get it. SOS!

its kinda difficult to explain by typing for me...

* Haploid (n)-- one set chromosomes
* Diploid (2n)-- two sets chromosomes
* Most plant and animal adults are diploid (2n)
* Eggs and sperm are haploid (n)
