Research paper.

Question Posted Sunday May 18 2008, 3:09 pm

I have to do a research paper for English class. It has to be at least 4-5 pages. The topic could be on whatever we want, but we have to prove a point in the paper. I was thinking school shootings, but I do not know what point I could prove. What topic could I do that would easily prove a point, or, what point could I prove in the topic of school shootings?

Thank you in advance.

if your doing school shootings, a point you could prove would be that bullying could provoke people to get mad or upset and that could cause the shootings. i hope it makes sense!

Well, you could do gun control, in which you could include school shootings? the point you'd prove is whether or not we should in fact have gun control.

School shootings is a hard topic. I have some ideas for you if you decide not to use that topic.

Tanning beds? Are they safe?
The up-coming election.
Should marijuana be legalized?
Should the drinking age be changed?
Plastic surgery
Teenagers and curfews

It's a lot easier to chose a research topic that interests you.. and you'll find it easier to come up with ideas if you have that interest. If school shootings are something that you find interest in, stick to it.

If not-- google research topics.
