In most places, 13 is too young to get an actual job. You can try babysitting, like suggested below, though =]

i live in ny, but not the city when i was your age i tried for baby sitting and pet sitting for families you can try that or some shops might hire you for sweeping or something if there are any help wanted signs anywhere look for those even if you dont think they would hire you because of your age just check it out they might find something for you to be able to do

goodluck!

When I was your age, I looked into baby sitting. Honestly, I was making $10/hour at my first job.

Look into local newspapers to find different families who are looking for a part time nanny for after school.

Brooklyn definitely has a lot of families up and around the area.

Other then babysitting, I don't know of many places which will hirer under the age of 15/16.

But I wish you the best of luck in your search!
