Price is negotiable. Please call me at [phone number].
This will show parents that you are:
a] Not selfish
b] Not close-minded
c] Just about open to any pay, in which this case, they will most likely go for a reasonable price.
2 summers ago, I put up flyers in my apartment complex for babysitting. I got a call that VERY same night. I ended up earning $600 for watching 2 kids [6 & 4] that summer. Put flyers wherever it's possible; on car windshields [check for car seats, just don't make it look too suspicious! lol!], Panera Bread has a bulletin board, McDonald's, your local library, Wal-Mart, etc. The couple whose kids that I had babysat, the babysitter moved out of state to go to college. They paid me a lot more than I had expected. My mom even pitched in once in awhile to help me out. Since you will have you and your friend to help, this will help distribute the work evenly and easily. Get all of the details, don't just expect answers.
Ask about:
- Emergency Numbers
- Favorite Foods
- Favorite Games
- Favorite Movies
- Regular Sleeping Schedule
- Potty trained or not [smaller kids]
- Allergies, Special Medication needed, etc.
sharpie457 answered Sunday May 11 2008, 8:13 pm: Personally, dont put the price at all. Because they might offer a higher price than you would except and that would be great. OR they might not like your price, and not even bother hiring you. 1. Make sure they pay you AFTER your done so you get your full price. 2. Pretend your name is Emily and Sharon [haha idk just go with it!] Then on ur flier say "Emily and Sharon babysitting! Split Cost, blah blah.]
