when i ask questions people sometimes send me links to a page.how do i do that when i am answering other peoples questions

You have to start the URL with http://.

If i find a site and copy and paste it it will show up as a link.

Anytime you copy and paste a URL, the person whose question you're answering will automaticall see it as a link to click on. It's one of the many features that DN (the site owner) has added to our site.
