does blow drying your hair cause split ends?

yeah, it does. its heat, anything that comes in contact with your hair, thats heat of course, does cause split ends. i cut my hair every 2-3 months to get rid of split ends so my hair is much more healthy.
straightening is much worse, since you are actually putting it on yer hair.

Yes, because it's heat. and it can make hair break off causing split ends.
It's not as bad as straightening, obviously, because it doesn't come into actual contact with your hair etc.
Letting it dry naturally is the safest option, but if you must use a blow dryer, a cool setting would be better.
Either way, use a heat protection spray before you blow dry. It helps.
