breast reduction

Question Posted Saturday March 15 2008, 2:25 pm

Hi.
I hate my breasts.
well, basically Im top heavy and to be honnest I actually HATE it.
Im a size 14 on the bottom, but because of my boobs which are a size 38D, I have to wear a size 16 to 18 top, and I basically look completly out of proportion.
Is there anyway, I can get my breasts reduced without, surgery...
It doesnt matter if I lose weight, because they stay the same, and then look even bigger.
If anyone has any suggestions, that would be really helpfull.
Moon x

Great ideas so far in the advice given, so I will just add that you should still talk to your doctor and interview a few plastic surgeons, too before deciding. Surgery could be the answer to your prayers and save your back and neck, too. I do think you should keep excercising, because it will reduce them some...breast tissue is really a lot of fat. At least opt for the best quality minimizer bra you can and learn to find styles for larger chests. Wear only V-Neck tops and shirts with no pockets or decoration on the chest area. Flared jeans and skirts will help balance your top out.

you didnt say if you were on any medications, such as birth control, but i can honestly tell you that i thought that i couldnt reduce my breast size by losing weight. Im a 34D. I went on the Pill and they became fuller. As soon as i got off the pill... they became much smaller. Now I am a 34C. I also tried to do push ups... but, not the regular pushups. these are girl pushups done on your knees. Get in the position to do a pushup, but keep your knees on the floor. Put your hands directly under your chest and match up your pointer fingers and your thumbs so you form a triangle with your hands. Then do 10 pushups. Do this everyday, and you will notice that your breasts are sitting higher, they will look more defined, and therefore, give the appearance that they are smaller. Good Luck!

ohh and a minimizer bra cant hurt! (as previously mentioned)

Try a minimiser bra, you can get them from all good department stores, should reduce the appearence of your breasts by 1-2 cup sizes, its not much but its a start.
There are some herbal remedies but I dont know how effective they are.
Sorry, thats all the advice I have,
Hope it works!

When you lose fat, your breasts WILL become smaller. It doesn't matter how big they are to begin with because all breasts, regardless of size, are mainly composed of fatty tissues.

But how much they shrink varies from woman to woman and can depend on how much fat you've lost. If you have a lot of fat in your boobs, then you have to burn a lot of fat. From personal experience, my boobs got smaller when I lost weight.

Try to burn the fat off with cardio first. If you put in 100% and they still don't shrink as much as you want, chances are you will have to go under the knife. However, this should only be reserved for extreme circumstances. If the weight of your breasts actually cause you back pain, then insurance will cover your surgery. However, if you don't have any pain and it's purely for aesthetics, then this is considered cosmetic surgery, meaning insurance won't cover it.
