CShusho answered Sunday March 9 2008, 8:14 pm: I would have to say that, in the road of every single Christian, there will always be a time of doubt or a time where he will be unsure of his faith. However, this is not unconquerable.
I don't know whether you are a Catholic, but, there was a Saint that used to say that there are several ladders in sainthood. One of them talked about how one of them, one of the lower levels, is when a person believes in God almighty, wishes to improve every single moment of his life, but finds himself failing constantly. She (the saint) says that this is usually due to either (1)a lack of knowledge of the sins being committed, and (2) a lack of love for God.
My advice to you would be to pray. Again, I don't know whether you're Catholic or not, but St.John Paul II used to say that prayer is the sword of every Christian. Pray that you may find the strength to do everything in his will and let Him teach you along the way. And yet again not knowing if you're a Catholic, remember that it is simply essential to go to Mass every single day possible. It is so, not only because it will allow you not only to remove yourself from any false ideas and allow you to be more instructed in the ways of the faith, but because it will allow you to receive Christ and body and blood. "You shall eat my body and drink my blood, in memory of me".

The first step in being loyal to God is realizing you can do nothing without Him. The Bible says no one can please God without faith. That's where Jesus comes in. Jesus died to pay for your sins in full; it's a free gift. But each of us needs to accept that gift by faith. Once you have repented and put your faith in Jesus and have that relationship, He helps you change the outside stuff like cursing and doubting.

As I got older, I brought Him back into my life. I don't personally go to church, and I don't really follow my life the way I should (haha). So, I really don't consider myself a good Christian. But don't feel guilty because at least you're trying to make the effort to be faithful to God and that's all he really wants. Just remember the next time you do something wrong, WWJD, it's totally cliche but it really helps. If you doubt God in any way, message me on here and I'll talk to you about any questions you have! I believe that you can still feel close to God and worship him even if you can't make it to church every single Sunday (or Saturday, depending on the branch of Christianity). However, going to church helps you learn about God and it's a cool thing to have a whole congregation sharing a spiritual moment. If you don't seem to find the time or maybe it's because your mom can't take you because she's wicked busy, maybe you could ask a friend who goes to church if you could go with them.
Does a church near you have a youth group? Youth groups are great for bringing teens (assuming you're a teen) together in worship and are usually open to people even if they don't belong to the church. For instance, my youth group has weekly meetings and we can bring friends if we want. There's lots of cool activities we can choose to go to throughout the school-week also.
