Is this dangerous?

Question Posted Tuesday March 4 2008, 4:10 am

Ok, I'm gonna have to talk in Kilograms, so sorry if it doesn't make much sense to some people here.

Well I'm 15/f and since Friday (it's Tuesday now) I've lost 4kg.
I haven't eaten much, but I don't feel hungry either...
So I'm wondering if it's dangerous to drop 4kg in like one weekend?
So that's what... 8.5 pounds or something?
( I used an online converter so I don't know.sorry)

if your really skinny, and half an eating disorder then ya thats bad.

but my twin sister is average and she drops weight like that all the time. and usually just gains it back. i dont know its weird.

everyone says its bad, but i dont think its not that big of a deal. because usually if you lose that weight that fast, you can gain it back really easily.

If you're already underweight, then that is too much. You might have an eating disorder.

If you're normal or overweight, though, then that amount of weight loss isn't exactly healthy, but you don't need to worry about it. Just try to stop losing weight at that rate. Limit yourself to 1kg per week.

This could also be indicative of a medical problem. If you continue to lose weight at this rate, despite changes in diet, see a doctor.
