Soccer - EFFORT??

Question Posted Tuesday March 4 2008, 3:42 am

My coach is choosing 11 people out of my team (15 players).

The 11 chosen, MUST show effort.

How can i show effort, but not show off at the same time???

If it helps:

(I'm an OKAY player, the others in my team are around the same level as me... some are better...!!)

Thanks so much in advance!!

Kronix

Push yourself to the limit and dont give up. Sounds simple, but most people dont do this.

Coaches like to see players that give it everything they got. The attitude you want is that of a hard working central defensive midfielder. Think of someone like Edgar Davids or Gattuso. Run til you throw up, dont back down from any challenge, pressure your oponents, support your teammates and fear no one.

You just need to try. Not stand around, always be after the ball. Whenever someone needs help with something, be the first to jump in and do it. Do your best at everything and give 100%, and you will be fine.

It is really quite simple..just run faster and be really agressive. I don't know what level you play on, but that's what our coach (on varsity) would consider effort. Hope this helps :]
