Question Posted Saturday February 16 2008, 4:47 pm
My sister is 3 years older than i am and is always saying myspace sucks and i should get a facebook. She says schools look at myspace and you could get suspended if you have pics of doing stuff at the school? Is this true? and is facebook REALLY so much better than myspace? Any opinion is appreciated!
it also depends on what you do with it
as said before, if you post pictures drinking, smoking, and add random people who you dont know, what do you think is going to happen?
and its the same thing with facebook [ babiibananax3's advice column | Ask babiibananax3 A Question ]

I have heard of schools looking at Myspace profiles (as well as Facebook profiles) but if you keep your profile on both private, it shouldn't be a big deal. Also, make sure that you don't have promiscuous pictures. If you're underage, don't upload pictures of you drinking or doing drugs and stuff. Pretty common sense, but you would have to have a lot of bad stuff on there to make schools and jobs not accept you. As far as getting suspended, that would have to do with pictures or info about drugs, alcohol, etc. I have both a Myspace and a Facebook and I'd say I'm a good kid, so you just have to be careful about it. I have a mypsace AND a facebook! I use facebook75% more. Myspace is just too much work for me too! You have to make the wallpapers and change the music IT'S SO MUCH! Facebook is more fun, and the way you can add pictures is so much better. Like if someone adds them they can tag you! I would totally recommend facebook like a 234982 x more! :)

But personally, I think facebook is soooooo much
better than myspace. It's just a lot more
organized and all that. And schools can check
your faceboooks as well, so make sure you dont
have anything you shouldn't be doing up on it. [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]

If you have inappropriate pictures on your Myspace/Facebook, colleges or future bosses will probably see them because sometimes they do check out your pages. So, just be careful about what you post and it's really up to you which website you choose. [ xlovexx463's advice column | Ask xlovexx463 A Question ]
thelaura answered Sunday February 17 2008, 9:59 am: It's been known for schools/employers/etc to check myspace and other social websites. To stop that, all you have to do is make your profile private, though.
My personal opinion:
Facebook is lame. Too many applications and what not.. and it just doesn't look as nice. It's okay for what it's intended to be used for: Colleges and Universities etc.
It's all about personal preference I suppose. [ thelaura's advice column | Ask thelaura A Question ]
itsz_JESS answered Sunday February 17 2008, 9:58 am: well facebook is much more safer than myspace because usually only people in your network can see your profile unless you put it private. also facebook doesnt have all that spam and stuff like myspace does.
