I'm a guy and I straighten my hair, but i'm having problems

Question Posted Sunday February 10 2008, 8:42 pm

Please help. I'm 15 and I straighten my hair. I'm not gay at all! I just think it looks so much better when it's straight, and every morning I get up, take a shower, dry it, and straighten it. To do this I have get up at 5:00 every morning and I leave for school at 7:00. The problem I'm having is P.E. class. I'm good with sports, but every time I play it screws up my hair. I look really good with straight hair and I'm popular at my school, but now I have P.E. and every day my hair get reall messed up and curly. I've tried gelling it and spraying it, but no hair products seem to work. When I straighten my hair I don't just make it straighter, but I shape it and it looks really good.
I'm not gay at all. It's just when I started straightening my hair 2 years ago, I had so much more confidence knowing that I looked attractive. This year I'm at a new school, and I'm popular and girls like me.. but it's the 2nd semester now and so I have P.E. Every day my hair gets completly messed up and everyone wonders if I'm sick or something. Please anyone with any advice at all please help..

Okay, well to start things off, I just want to point out that you've posted this question 3-4 times. If you didn't get competent answers for the previous questions, chances are, you won't for this question. Try using a silk serum. Men's hair is usually coarser compared to Women's hair. Consider getting it thinned at the salon.

You say you have tried hairspray and gel?
That should hold it..but if it doesn't, I usually use Herbal Essences Dangerously straight finishing spray, and they also have shampoo and conditioner (dangerously straight)
It should help :)

you can try putting it up in a pony tail if it's long enough and after P.E., you can take it out and comb it through

Could you send me some more information? Like what type of straightner? Also does your school have bathrooms with outlets? (To plug in a straightner?) What period/block do you have P.E.? I straighten my hair everyday, and I have P.E. too. I know a lot of guys who straighten their hair, and they are difinatly not not not gay. :D

Disconnected answered Monday February 11 2008, 11:56 am:
Look for a really small pair of hair straighteners, and put them in your locker or something, and then at break or whatever, go to the most unused toilets and straighten them there.

Try these:

Try Aveda Brilliant.

It's better than hairspray.
Also, I recommend NOT getting your hair permanently straightened because it does SERIOUS damage on your hair. Your hair will be damanged to no repair. Trust me, I've tried it out.
