What is your personal opinion about myspace in general?
What do you feel about some of the perverts on there looking for 15 year old girls? I feel like it takes two to tango, but I was looking for others opinions. Thanks!

In reality, it's quite easy to not have this happen to you. When people are stupid enough to give their phone numbers to, literally, random guys that friend request them, or plan to meet them, they're digging their own grave. As long as you don't make stupid decisions, Myspace is perfectly safe.
Like someone else said, when you post half naked pictures of yourself because you think you look 's3xii', it's your own damn problem. [ beckyboo's advice column | Ask beckyboo A Question ]

People are so naive and stupid. MySpace is paedophile paradise, especially when they come across the millions of young teens posting half naked pictures of themselves up.
It's their own fault. If they don't know about internet safety, they simply shouldn't be on there. [ thelaura's advice column | Ask thelaura A Question ]

I think that if a teenager is stupid enough to trust someone they meet on myspace, then maybe they are asking for some perverts to talk to them. People need to realize that sometimes " what is wrong with the world," is really closer to home then they think. [ lilly_pads79's advice column | Ask lilly_pads79 A Question ]
KristinaKinesthetic answered Monday February 11 2008, 11:44 am: I honestly dont see what the big deal about myspace is.
If parents and/or concerned relatives were to inform their teenagers about the dangers of online predators, rather than completely banning their kids from the site, it would be manymanymany measures safer.
I do partially agree with you, though it may be a little 'cruel'.
Some girls (and guys of course) will post half-naked, or bikini shots of themselves online.
Now, really. If you're putting it that far out there, how can you not expect at least one pervert to come along?
Not that it justifies pedophilia, but even a profile on 'private' isnt completely protected.
& there are also the older men (meaning 18+) who will lie about their age, just as a younger girl will say she's older to the same person, because they are attracted to them.
:]
thats all I'll do for now. [ KristinaKinesthetic's advice column | Ask KristinaKinesthetic A Question ]
