I recently started working in a nursing home as a recreation aide. we do activities with the residents, etc. the staff was asked to think of ideas for activities the residents can do before dinner in the big dining room. it wil be a bunch of them. they said to keep it somewhat simple as in not a lot of setting up etc. someone suggested giving the residents jokes to read off. interaction in the activities is a plus. any ideas? i want to impress the boss lol

I thought that was a really good idea. They enjoyed it alot. Another suggestion would be to put a piano and get someone to play it. I did that for them once and they loved it. They also loved it when children came in. Good luck! [ kipjoyner's advice column | Ask kipjoyner A Question ]
