Another pregnant question....

Question Posted Tuesday January 29 2008, 10:01 am

I know people ask this question like 50 times on this site, but I actually have some details. My period came last month (Dec 25), and I had sex with my boyfriend in January, but we ALWAYS use protection; however, I am about 4 days late now, could I be pregnant or am I just freaking out for no reason?

If you are an adult, wait to take a test when you are at least a week late.
If you are a teen, wait at least 2 weeks. Why? Because your cycle is not likely completely regulated.
Stressing over it can cause your period to be late, also. Hard as it may be, try not to worry and fret.

You can get pregnant no matter what you use. Is it likely? No. but it can happen.
Give it a few more days. It just might be late.. and you stressing over being pregnant certainly isn't helping.
If i doesn't arrive, take a test to confirm.

Unfortunately, sex is never 100% safe. The most reliable way to prevent pregnancy is to combine condoms with another form of contraception, such as the pill. Try not to panic, it is quite common to skip a period or get it late, especially as a teenager. Having said that, while the chances are slim seeing as you were careful, it is still possible that you might be pregnant, and the only way to find out for sure is to do a test.
